Just 2 guys from Berlin slayin dance floors with naive house music like back in NYC 1981.

Downtown 212 is Christophe Darbouze and Chris Apollo Lynn (Chimp Hardy). Although they both lived in New York at the same time in the early 2000s, the duo met playing the same show in 2018 at Ohm, a part of Berlin’s legendary Tresor club. After they kept getting booked at the same underground raves and clubs, they realized they both had a passion for early house music, free jazz, and 80s funk, and decided to hop in the studio together. The result is a series of tracks they call “naive house”.
